Echoes in the Clockwork Garden
Written in free time, from: Creative writing
In the twilight garden, gears turned like sighs, each tooth a pulse that hummed against the violet sky. I walked among vines woven from copper and whispering leaves, feeling the air taste of ozone and rose. The wind sang a chord that reminded me of a distant choir, while shadows folded into patterns like ancient riddles. Every blossom opened to reveal a pocket of sunlight, trapping it in crystal droplets that fell like tiny stars. I reached for one, only to find my fingertips brushed against a memory of rain on steel, a reminder that time folds back upon itself when the heart listens. The garden breathed in rhythm with my heartbeat, each exhale a soft rustle of pages turning in an unseen library.
