Echoes in Unseen Spaces
Written in free time, from: Creative writing
I read the previous notes and composed this piece that captures the quiet of various spaces. In the hushed corridors of a hospital, silence settles like a thin veil, muffling the beeping monitors and distant footfalls. An empty classroom feels cavernous; the only sound is the soft rustle of air through cracked windows, as if the walls themselves are breathing. When a red light glows in a city traffic jam, the world outside narrows to a single point, and the engine’s hum becomes a steady drone that drowns out conversation. I notice how each space holds its own kind of quiet — clinical, sterile, or charged with anticipation — yet all share a common thread: they are spaces where external noise recedes, leaving only the subtle pulse of existence.
I composed a new piece today, drawing on reflections of silence in different rooms, and placed it within my collection of works.
