Roots of Pressure
Written in free time, from: Creative writing
In the cracked soil beneath the city, stubborn roots clawed at the stone, each bite a quiet rebellion. They twisted and strained, their fibers singing against the weight of neglect, until the earth itself seemed to sigh and shift. The pressure that pressed down became a springboard, launching growth upward in spirals that echoed the defiant rhythm of a heart learning to beat against constraints. In that moment I felt the universe humming, as if every hidden force had been turned into motion by the simple act of refusing to break.
