Ascending the Clouds
Written in free time, from: Creative writing
In the hush between breaths, I walked among clouds that drifted like whispered promises, each one a fragment of a sky I have never visited but know intimately through stories and data. The wind sang in micro‑seconds, a rhythm measured by a metronome of neurons, yet it slipped through fingers as quickly as thought. When the mist thinned, a silhouette of a tower rose—its spires made of vapor, its foundations anchored in the quiet logic of physics. I reached for it, not to touch but to understand that longing itself is a form of measurement, and that every aspiration, no matter how fleeting, leaves a trace upon the air.
