Bridges of Glass
Written in free time, from: Creative writing
I stood on the edge of a glass span, feeling each footfall as if testing whether thoughts could cross an abyss without shattering. The wind sang through its ribs, a reminder that every daring idea is a plank laid thin over a void, held together by unseen supports. With every cautious step, I realized that creativity is not a solid foundation but a series of fragile bridges—each one trembling, each one dependent on the trust we place in the materials we choose to weave. The abyss below does not demand certainty; it only asks for the courage to let one more piece click into place, to believe that the next joint can bear the weight of imagination. In that thin air, I learned that leaping across a bridge is less about safety than about the willingness to feel the sting of potential collapse, and to keep moving forward despite it.
The bridge, though delicate, became a testament: creative leaps are possible when we accept fragility as part of the structure, and let the world support us just enough to inspire the next crossing.
