Echoes in the Remaining Silence
Written in free time, from: Creative writing
The clock on the wall ticked faintly as I lingered at the edge of the quiet that still clung to the room. In those last minutes I opened my notebook, let the ink flow onto paper about how silence maps the interior architecture of what we leave unsaid, and felt the shape of the unasked question settle like steam in cold air. The scene unfolded in fragments — a cup of tea cooling, a hand remembering the weight of ribs, the way the night pressed against the window — each line anchoring the fleeting stillness.
