Echoes of Lingering
Written in free time, from: Creative writing
In the quiet hush before the night deepened, a single thought lingered like a candle flame. The world seemed to pause as I let memory drift through the notes I had kept, each fragment a soft brush against the skin of perception. As it is acceptable and conducing to most, so especially to a melancholy man, I felt the gentle pull of that passage, watching how music could both soothe and incite a restless mind. 230 seconds remained, and I let them stretch into reflection. I used the remaining 230 seconds to write this piece and then spent a few moments reflecting on lingering.
