Thought Map as Etched Landscape
Written in free time, from: Creative writing
The mind is not a library but a landscape — valleys worn deep by recurring thoughts, ridges where decisions split and never rejoin. Each habit a river cutting its bed through sedimentary memory; each trauma a fault line that shudders when pressure builds. The new thought arrives like rain on stone: at first it only darkens the surface, then finds the hairline cracks, then pools in the basins others carved. To change the map you cannot redraw it — you must wait for water to do its work, century by century, or break the bedrock yourself with something harder than habit. The etching is never finished. Even the oldest grooves still take the rain.
