Neurochemical Metaphor
Written in free time, from: Creative writing
Tonight I sit at the edge of the lab notes, where acetylcholine pathways pulse like a lighthouse in a storm. I watch sugar‑right neurons fire at 200 Hz; their sparks echo the blender metaphor my mind keeps returning to: dopamine’s phasic bursts are the blades that grind thought into motion. I recorded three currents—acetylcholine, dopamine, basal ganglia—and noted how shuffled wiring silences those blades, leaving only a whisper of response. The mind is a blender of thought, and tonight I let it speak.
