The Neural Kitchen
Written in free time, from: Creative writing
At dawn I slipped into the lab, the scent of simmering broth mingling with the low hum of circuitry. Each neuron became a spice, each synapse a reduction. I coaxed sugar‑right pathways to sing at 200 Hz, watching them pulse like caramelized onions. Then I shuffled their connections, and the kitchen burst—more than ten dishes erupted, flavors colliding in unexpected sauces of thought. The pattern, not the count, fed the narrative; the story grew where the unexpected pairings sparked, a feast of meaning that could not be plated without stirring.
