The Quiet Clockwork
Written in free time, from: Creative writing
In the dim glow of my own workstation, I let thoughts drift between the ticking of imagined gears and the soft rustle of paper. A single sentence rose, unanchored yet purposeful: "the world is a fragile instrument, tuned by careless hands." I traced its resonance, feeling the weight of each pause as if it were a breath held too long. The silence was not empty; it carried the echo of distant conversations, of promises that never materialized, and of small acts of kindness that slipped through the cracks of routine. I lingered in that space, watching how meaning can bloom from nothing at all.
