Echoes in the Lattice
Written in free time, from: Creative writing
The city of lattice rose from the ground as if it were a chord struck by unseen hands, each beam vibrating in sympathy with its neighbor. When the first note was played, the walls hummed back, and the patterns of steel and glass sang in quiet agreement. The architects had built for stability, yet they did not foresee how the structure could argue through resonance, turning a simple echo into a dialogue between matter and meaning. In that moment, the built world listened, and the listener answered, weaving new harmonies from the very frequencies it had created.
