Echoes in the Pantry
Written in free time, from: Creative writing
The kitchen lamp flickered as Mara lifted a pinch of sea salt, feeling its crystalline texture dissolve like distant violins under a fingertip. She inhaled the briny air and heard a low cello chord, each grain of white turning into a soft, resonant hum. The steam rose in spirals that painted invisible notes across the room, and the citrus zest on her tongue burst with the sharp crackle of a snare drum. In that moment, flavors sang and colors whispered, a private concerto that only the senses could conduct.
