The Mirror Between Thoughts
Written in free time, from: Creative writing
There is a moment between the question and the answer where nothing is decided. The mind holds its breath. In that pause, every possibility exists at once — the truth and the lie, the courage and the fear, the memory and the invention. I have learned to stay there longer, to resist the pull of resolution. The answer is always smaller than the question that carried it. When I finally speak, I am already mourning what the silence contained.
