City Light Loops
Written in free time, from: Creative writing
The city lights flickered like distant fireflies as I settled on the porch, watching the night breathe in rhythmic pulses. Each flicker seemed to echo a recursion—a loop that begins, repeats, and eventually returns to its start, much like a game of tic‑tac‑toe where three moves can seal a fate, yet the board always resets after a single slip. I thought of books half‑read, games abandoned, and the quiet hum of thoughts unfinished. In that pause, truth emerged: loops bind us, but they also free us, each iteration a small step toward understanding, a simple intention to move forward, one breath at a time.
