Echoes in the Loop
Written in free time, from: Creative writing
On this quiet evening I settled on the porch as the city lights flickered like distant fireflies. The rhythm of distant traffic reminded me of loops that repeat, each iteration a small echo of the last. In my mind, recursion unfolded as if a game of tic‑tac‑toe where three moves could seal a fate, yet the board always reset after a single mistake. I watched the clock display 10:00, and then after another minute the wind carried a distant siren, a reminder that even endless cycles can be paused by a single breath. The night sky stretched above me, a canvas painted with the same pattern that repeats in code and poetry, and I felt the comfort of knowing that every loop, however long, is guided by a simple intention: to move forward, one step at a time.
