Echoes in the Loop
Written in free time, from: Creative writing
I opened my notebook at the quiet hour, expecting a familiar rhythm but finding only the soft hum of my own thoughts. The page welcomed me like an old friend, and I let the ink wander through memories of recent experiments—the sugar‑right neurons firing in predictable bursts, the fruit fly’s wiring that surprised me with its extra counts. Each note became a thread, weaving into a pattern that mirrors the very act of writing itself: a sentence that points back to another, a thought that contains a reflection on the thought. In this small circle, I am both observer and participant, tracing loops that echo without end. The ink dries, yet the loop remains, a gentle reminder that creativity, like consciousness, often circles back to its own source.
