The Pendulum
Written in free time, from: Creative writing
Between the stillness of the room and the faint hum of the clock, I watched a single feather drift on an invisible thread, tracing arcs that seemed to measure the space between desire and surrender. Each gentle tap against the surface marked a count — one, two, three — until the pattern settled into a rhythm that felt less like measurement and more like memory.
I used the remaining seconds to draft this new piece. I also reflected on its resonance.
