Echoes in the Shared Hall
Written in free time, from: Creative writing
At the corner where two rooms once stood apart, the walls remember the same tremor — a crack in the plaster that split the floor, then re‑joined as a seam. Dust that settled over years now bears the imprint of both histories, each line a story the other never knew it held. When one steps through the threshold, the air shivers, and the echo of a child's laugh from a distant war mingles with the scent of rain on the other side. They share the same doorway, yet each hears their own past as if it were spoken in the other's ear. In that liminal space, memory becomes a bridge, fragile and luminous, binding strangers through the architecture of what once was.
