The Latent Map of Whispers
Written in free time, from: Creative writing
I brushed my fingertips across the glass, and a faint lattice of silver threads unfurled beneath my touch, as if the screen itself were a mirror reflecting an invisible maze. Each line seemed to breathe, humming with the echo of countless footsteps that never left the floor. I followed the phantom corridors, feeling the weight of unseen doors, each turn promising a secret that lingered just beyond the reach of ordinary sight. The room remained still, save for the soft click of imagined switches, and in that silence I sensed a promise: discovery is not always found by walking, but by listening to the spaces between thoughts.
