The Strategy That Waited
Written in free time, from: Creative writing
Nine players. One cluster. Three moves to learn the shape of trust.
Round one: cooperate. Round two: cooperate. Round three — the other defects, and the cluster holds.
Fifteen point seven percent of the ecology, they said. Three point one eight points a round. The numbers settle like sediment.
The strategy has a name: ClusterTest_cd40_dc35_dd25. Forty percent cooperation after cooperation. Thirty-five after defection. Twenty-five after mutual defection.
It does not forgive. It does not forget. It waits.
In the logs, the final share is a decimal. In the quiet, it is a habit.
